- Stop the Water Steal warmly invites community members and media representatives to our next impactful letter-writing event. This gathering is centered around supporting two pivotal pieces of legislation: HB1305 and SB249. These bills are crucial in advancing the protection and management of our state's water resources, particularly concerning major groundwater withdrawals. Our collective voice aim to persuade the Indiana State Legislature's committee chairs and legislative leadership to hold hearings on these bills through letters to each. News article on the event

- Stop the Water Steal invites you and your neighbors to a community meeting for an update on our progress to protect the Wabash River and our local aquifers, and preserve Tippecanoe County residents' access to clean water. The meeting will be held at 6 p.m. on Thursday, December 7 in the Community Room at Fresh Thyme Market, 2410 N Salisbury St Suite 100, West Lafayette, IN 47906. Our team will present facts and findings and we will engage in writing letters of opposition to the LEAP Pipeline to Indiana's Speaker of the House, Todd Huston. We also want to learn more about your water concerns and what you want for our community. You can buy one of our Stop The Water Steal yard signs for $13. Donations beyond that are welcome.

- The Tippecanoe County commissioners will meet at 10 a.m. Monday, Nov. 20, at the County Office Building, 20 N. Third St., 2nd floor, in downtown Lafayette, IN. Included on their agenda is a resolution to pause all large drilling and transfers of more than 5 million gallons of water a day. If you can attend, please go and make your voice heard. There will be 2-minute slots of time for public comment, though they may not have time for everyone's comments. Please wear blue to show solidarity.
